Online ordering instructions..

Hello
We are starting a trial run of online ordering. This is a new venture for us and with that comes a steep learning curve. So we wanted to write something up that would explain what we are doing and how to do it.

If you go to the Orders' section of our website you will see a list with pictures of what we have available. You make your selections, and they will go to your shopping cart like any other online ordering website. When you decide to check out you will see a place for comments this is where you will choose to either pick up or have it delivered to you. We deliver two days a week, and  we may add a Saturday delivery day later in the summer. Currently, on Tuesday  we go in the Poultney, Castleton, Fair Haven direction and on Thursday we deliver in the Middletown springs, Proctor and Rutland direction. We start delivering late afternoon early evening, and we will be charging  5.00 dollars for delivery. If you choose pickup we need a few hours to get it ready, so any orders received after 1:00pm will be ready the next day unless you hear from us telling you it is ready earlier. We will leave your order in a bag with your name in our fridge located in our farm store at 70 east road Poultney right off Morse hollow road.

As we try to grow our farm business we have been working on modernizing our sales structure. As we move into the future we plan to expand our CSA and online sales while downsizing our storefront. Online ordering gives you a great way of accessing  healthy chemical and hormone free food that is sustainably grown by farmers who have a love for the environment.
Thank you, and we look forward to supplying you with great food!!

Pasture raised broiler chickens

Hello Folks,

We hope this finds you all doing well and hopefully enjoying this much needed spring weather.
We are writing to inform you all that we are going to produce our healthy pasture raised chickens again this year.
if you want to make sure you have a guaranteed supply of chemical free pasture raised broilers for your freezer then we are your farm!

Our chickens are raised in small groups in a portable wood and wire structure called a chicken tractor. Free from the stresses of predators and an open bottom allowing for access to the grass and its bounty. They are moved every day to fresh grass. These chickens grow to be very tender and juicy full of flavor and no chemicals, no hormones and fed only GMO free grain.

We have three processing days throughout the summer and have a range of weights to best meet your families needs anywhere from 4.5 to 6.5 pounds. We can also raise 7# broilers for those that want a big chicken however these will not be ready until the last processing day in October.  We don't require  a monetary deposit just an email confirming you would like us to raise you some broilers, the number of chickens you are interested in and the size you would like. We will let you know what processing day works best for the size you are needing, and you can either have us shrink wrap them for direct freezing or bag them, so you can cut them to your desired size and freeze them to your own specifications. We have a sign on deadline of April 30 however the sooner you let us know your intentions the better. This makes it a little easier for us to navigate the challenges of the currant supply chains. This year we are charging $4.75 per pound.

The three processing days this summer are the following:

June 26

August 28

October 30th
Thank you for your support, and we look forward to raising you some great flavorful pasture raised broilers.

4 Thank you for showing interest in our CSA. We run our CSA a little different from the traditional style. We give our customers some choices in your weekly food box. Every week you will get an email from us on Saturday evening. In this email we will inform you of what is available and how much of each item you can take. Then you choose what items you would like for the week. We have a limit on what you can take to ensure everyone will get some. There is a monetary limit which is $40.00 per week.
Our CSA runs from the middle of May through the middle of October. A 24-week share costs $960.00 dollars, and you get $40.00 a week of our farm products. Our farm raised products would include a selection of Grass fed/finished BEEF, pasture raised PORK and pasture raised whole roaster CHICKENS!! Your share
would also include a wide selection of our fresh VEGETABLES which are grown using only organic methods. And lastly, fresh EGGS from our hens are included as well.
An example of a CSA share in the Spring is the following:

Pkg of Pork Chops $6.75 per # limit of 2
Hot/Sweet pork sausage link $8.00 per # limit of 1
1# Hamburger $7.00 per # limit of 2
1 dozen Eggs $4.00 per dozen limit of 1

We have three payment plans.
1)Pay full amount by April 15th at $960.00
2) Pay half of $480.00 on April 15th and the rest of $480.00 on July 15th.
