Hello,
Thank you for showing interest in our CSA. We run our CSA a little different from the traditional style. We give our customers some choices in your weekly food box. Every week you will get an email from us on Saturday evening. In this email we will inform you of what is available and how much of each item you can take. Then you choose what items you would like for the week. We have a limit on what you can take to ensure everyone will get some. There is a monetary limit which is $40.00 per week.
Our CSA runs from the middle of May through the middle of October. A 24-week share costs $960.00 dollars, and you get $40.00 a week of our farm products. Our farm raised products would include a selection of Grass fed/finished BEEF, pasture raised PORK and pasture raised whole roaster CHICKENS!! Your share would also include a wide selection of our fresh VEGETABLES which are grown using only organic methods. And lastly, fresh EGGS from our hens are included as well.
An example of a CSA share in the Spring is the following:
(Pricing is approximate and subject to change)
1# bacon $10.00 per # limit of 1
Pkg of Pork Chops $6.75 per # limit of 2
Hot/Sweet pork sausage link $8.00 per # limit of 1

Friday we will be delivering to Rutland.
You may also pick up at our farm Tuesday and Friday Afternoon or Thursday at the Fairhaven Farmer Market from 3pm to 6pm.
This Year we will be starting a winter CSA. It will run from December 1 to the end of April. It will be twice monthly and cost $60.00 per month due at the beginning of each month. The winter CSA will run basically the same as the summer CSA meaning you will be able to choose what is in your share. What you get to choose from is our pasture raised pork and beef along with our pasture raised whole broilers and eggs. There will also be stored crops as well. This will include: beets, potatoes, carrots, onions, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, celeriac, and winter squash. We will also have fresh greens from our high tunnels and this could include spinach, head lettuce, kale, Swiss chard and salad mix. You can pick up your share at our farm in West Haven, or we can deliver it to you on the same schedule as the summer CSA (with a $5.00 delivery fee) We have limited space this first year, so we are limiting it to just 10 customers. So the first 10 people to sign up for our summer CSA will be added to the list for the winter CSA.
If you are interested in joining our CSA please email us at kacarter0@gmail.com and let us know what payment option you choose.
Also, please let us know if you want us to deliver, or you plan to pick up. If you choose delivery please give us an address you would like it delivered to. If you choose pick up please let us know what day you plan to pick up at the farm or if you plan to pick it up on Thursday at the Farmers Market in Fair Haven VT from 3-6 pm. We take Cash, checks made out to Soaring Meadow Farm, Venmo or Cash App.
We are open to offering a Vegetable only CSA share if people are interested in that. It would most cost a little less than our meat and veg share about $30.00 unless you feel you could consume $40.00 dollar share of Vegetables.
Any questions please reach out to us.
We look forward to growing and raising some healthy and nutrient dense food for you.
Thank you,
Ken, Amanda and Liam Carter
